This month, we caught up with one of the newest members of the Rotaready team – Business Development Manager, Rob! Here’s what you’ll find him doing at the weekend, what he likes most about his job and what his superpower of choice would be…
What did you do before working at Rotaready?
A few things really. I graduated from Warwick Uni in July 2022 (a year late of course with Covid). Previously I was working at another hospitality software company, but doing slightly more PR and marketing work compared to sales.
What do you like most about your job?
Listening and talking, without a doubt. It’s such a nice feeling to share passions with others, in this case hospitality in particular! Also, the team at Rotaready definitely know how to plan fantastic socials – that’s always an important thing for me 😉
Where do you see yourself in 20 years time?
Hopefully higher up the queue in the Arsenal season ticket waiting list, maybe?
If you weren’t working in the Sales team which role would you take on?
I want to say Marketing because I already know I enjoy it, but I’ve always thought Customer Success looks a good time. Anything people orientated really!
What’s your dream holiday destination?
I’d love to go to a beach in the Caribbean one day, haven’t really thought about where. Otherwise, I’m a huge fan of Barcelona.
What’s your favourite meal?
My local Italian does this amazing pasta dish with mussels, squid and prawns – it’s incredible and always a go-to. Don’t even need to look at the menu sorta thing.
What are you most likely to be found doing at the weekend?
Most weekends I’m on the move! Usually you’ll find me away with my partner, seeing friends or visiting family!
What would you sing at Karaoke night?
Radio Ga Ga by Queen. It’s not even my favourite song, but it’s just destined for karaoke.
If you could have one superpower what would it be?
There are too many! I’m a Star Wars fan so I’m gonna say being able to use The Force, purely out of loyalty on this one.
What’s your best joke?
Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.
