It’s been a while since our last ’60 seconds with…’ but this is one worth waiting for. Introducing Rotaready sales guru, Steve McGuckin. Here’s what he likes most about his job, what you’ll find him doing at the weekend and why he’d like to take on a role in the Rotaready development team, if he didn’t work in sales.

What did you do before working at Rotaready?

What didn’t I do – I managed a pub, I sold insurance, I waited on tables, I worked in a laundry, I laboured on a farm, I painted and decorated, I worked in a gym… I could go on… 😳

What do you like most about your job?

I love meeting and speaking to people and at the same time (literally) I love tackling challenges and finding solutions to even the toughest of situations. Combine the 2, and that’s what I do here!

Where do you see yourself in 20 years time?

Watching my son play at Anfield.

If you weren’t working in the Sales team which role would you take on?

I have a passion for the codings, so I would probably be running the show and pulling the Javascript strings on the development side of things. 👾

What’s your dream holiday destination?

Spain is up there and is an amazing place, the culture, the food, the heat, the sangria, the quaint little villages where no one speaks English. Somewhere like that…

What’s your favourite meal?

I’m a sucker for a decent Spag Bol

What are you most likely to be found doing at the weekend?

Changing nappies 👶🏻

What would you sing at Karaoke night?

It’s got to be 1D. I’ve been known to fill the vocal void left by Zayn.

If you could have one super power what would it be?

With great power comes great responsibility – it’s got to be Spiderman’s! 🕸

What’s your best joke?

I’m accumulating lots of Dad jokes these days: Why did it take so long to get the man who wrote the Hokey-Cokey into his coffin when he died?
Well, first they put his left arm in…
