Employees can now onboard themselves onto Rotaready. When an employee is first added to Rotaready and invited to download the mobile app you, as their employer, can choose whether they are required to complete your onboarding process.
How it works…
When an employee first accesses the Rotaready app, they’ll be guided through an onboarding process; the steps of which can be customised by your organisation and can include:
- Address
- Personal details, such as address, gender, nationality and ethnicity
- Bank details
- National insurance number
- Right to work documents, such as passport or visa
- Emergency contact details
- Other documents or photos
The employee doesn’t have to complete the onboarding process all in one go. They can save and pick up where they left off, which is useful if they’re asked to upload a document they don’t have to hand. However, they won’t be able to access Rotaready, including having the ability to view upcoming shifts and book holidays, until they’ve completed the onboarding process and submitted their information for review.
As the employer, you can review the submitted information in the Employee Submitted Details area at your leisure and accept or ignore each piece of information provided. You can also see an employee’s onboarding status from within the Staff section or Account tab of their profile; so you can monitor the progress of those you have asked to self-onboard.
