Kicking off our ’60 seconds with…’ series is Rotaready Co-Founder, Carl. Here’s a sneak peak into everything from where he sees himself in 20 years time to his ‘best’ joke…
What did you do before starting Rotaready?
While studying for my Computer Science degree I worked a few part time jobs in pubs and golf clubs, then moved to London for a couple of years in finance. In another life I would have joined the army, become a jazz pianist and a marine biologist – though not all at the same time 🤓
What do you like most about your job?
Running a business is a hot mess of creative, emotional and analytical challenges. It continually pushes me to learn, grow and adapt and that’s something that’ll never get boring.
Where do you see yourself in 20 years time?
Somewhere hot and sunny with family and friends.
If you weren’t busy running Rotaready which role would you take on?
There are just far too many things I want to try my hand at. I love variation though – that’s one of the best bits about running Rotaready. One day I can help out the engineers, the next I can spend with marketing and sales.
What’s your dream holiday destination?
Maldives, where else? 🤷🏻♂️
What are you most likely to be found doing at the weekend?
Literally anything… exploring a new city, out on a run, in a coffee shop reading…
What’s your best joke?
Went to the shop the other day to buy 6 cans of Sprite. Only when I got home I realised I’d picked 7up.
